Dingieshowe Cottage, at the foot of the Campsie Fells
Directions to Dingieshowe Cottage, 4 Glazert Meadow, Lennoxtown, G66 7EZ, Scotland
From Glasgow
- Take the M8 out of Glasgow heading for Edinburgh and Stirling.
- After Junction 14, keep an eye open as the road divides a short distance later.
- Take the left fork for the M80 to Stirling and Kincardine.
- At junction 3, take the A806 to Kirkintilloch.
- Follow this road on towards and then through Kirkintilloch, until you reach a T-junction at traffic lights.
- Turn left onto Glasgow Road, and then at the next set of lights, turn right onto Campsie Road between McDonalds Fast Food and Lidl Supermarket, onto Campsie Road.
- Stay on this road, through Birdston to Milton of Campsie.
- Turn left when you reach a T junction and cannot continue straight ahead.
- Travel through the village of Milton of Campsie then on to Lennoxtown (less than 2 miles).
As you enter the Lennoxtown village, you will come to a set of traffic lights. On the right hand side, is a rough stone wall, with the name 'Lennoxtown'
embedded in it. You are nearly there! At the next set of lights, turn immediately right, into Glazert Meadow.
Dingieshowe is No. 4, the first bungalow on the right, below the grassy bank.
From Edinburgh
- Take the M9 and at Ingleston Roundabout, (about 2 miles past the airport), heading towards Stirling.
- 13.6 miles later, left onto the M876 for Glasgow for 5.3 miles, then join the M80.
- Take exit 4 from M80 to the A803 to Kilsyth/Bonnybridge.
- Turn right off the small roundabout from the slip road, crossing over the motorway, into the village of Haggs.
- Travel on this road, through Kilsyth, turning off onto the A891 towards Milton of Campsie and Lennoxtown.*
- If you reach Kirkintilloch, you have gone too far but don't despair!
- Turn right at the lights between McDonalds Fast Food and Lidl Supermarket, onto Campsie Road.
- Stay on this road, through Birdston to Milton of Campsie.
